I want to turn off the “read more” statement in the excerpt of the article in the post carousel
You must manually add your excerpt if you want to remove first “read more”. If your excerpt is auto generated, “read more” as part of excerpt will appear.
Make sure to enable excerpt field in screen options if it is disabled on your installation. More details: https://codex.wordpress.org/Excerpt.
